What is the highlight of your career?

My arrival at MACH as a Marketing Coordinator. Throughout my studies, working in marketing for a shopping centre was the dream job I was aiming for. More than 10 years later, I have the chance to do what I love every day. I am proud of that accomplishment.

What songs motivate you at work?

Unstoppable by Sia and Breathin by Ariana Grande

What advice would you give to the next generation of women who want to break into the industry (real estate or commercial)?

Here is some piece of wisdom for the next generation of women:

  • Learn to trust yourself and believe in your dreams.
  • Everything happens for a reason.
  • Life has a specific plan for each of us that we just don't know about.

What phrase inspires you daily?

"Take my ideas, I'll have more" - Coco Chanel

What is your career highlight?

The highlight of my career is definitely my arrival at Carrefour de l'Estrie. Working in the real estate industry has allowed me to experience a new reality: one of the retailers.

Word of advice, working in a shopping mall can be expensive, especially when you love fashion and beautiful things!

What is your favorite boutique at the Carrefour de l'Estrie?

My favourite store is definitely Simons. I can find everything there: fashion accessories, items for the kitchen, the house, etc.

What phrase inspires you daily?

"I did the best I could with the means I had at the time."

Katia Pruneau - Customer Service Supervisor

What is the highlight of your career?

My career path is a bit unusual. I originally studied and obtained a collegiate degree in biomedical analysis. Lack of job opportunities in the medical field in the late 90s early 2000s forced me to get another degree. This time in tourism. Then came the children. With a spouse often away on business, I decided to stay home. I joined the retail industry as a Customer Service agent in October 2017. In November 2019, an opportunity presented itself to me - something I never thought I would do - a Customer Service Manager role. It allowed me to accomplish many things I never thought I would: team management, data entry, relations with different businesses. All with a great team by my side!

Thanks to MACH and the administration of Carrefour de l'Estrie for a really great opportunity.

What are your favourite stores at the Carrefour de l'Estrie?

Since I was very young, I saw my parents playing cards and board games every weekend. It was part of their routine to decompress from the workweek. I followed in their footsteps. Not a weekend goes by without us playing something. Easy access to stores like Boutique Imaginaire and Renaud-Bray means we have a lot of games at home.

What woman inspires you daily?

My mother is my role model. She is a woman involved in her community, loving and always ready to help. She is resilient; she went through cancer and kept her spirits up. Cooking tips, advice for the kids, my mom is always there.
