Pink Shirt Day
February 17 to 24, at the food court
The Pink Shirt Day, which will be held on February 24, is a national event whose goal is to fight against bullying. The movement was born in 2007 when two Nova Scotian teenagers came to the defence of a bullied fellow student for wearing a pink shirt at school. To show their support, they encouraged students to also wear a pink t-shirt.
To mark this awareness campaign, the Carrefour will install the “Post-it Pink” wall at the food court from February 17 to 24. Everyone is invited to write a positive message on a pink Post-it and stick it on the wall!
For each Post-it stuck on the wall, an amount of $0.10 will be donated to a local anti-bullying organization!
